To create quality garments with high standards which reflect the brand ethos of being the best you can be.
To always look forward to the future and not become stale and stagnant by being stuck in the past with repetitive fashions.
To create long-lasting, hard-wearing items. We are not disposable.
To produce limited amounts of each product is to respect the individual. To produce a bespoke collection is even better.
To be the best we can be by striving to fulfil our potential in everything we do.
To question everything and to stand up for what we believe in.
WE ARE THE CREATORS;
NOT THE CREATED
OUR WORK ETHIC
WE ARE VERTICALLY
In-house production means we have full creative control over each and every product. We put our control-freak nature to very good and positive use.
It automatically reduces our carbon footprint as we do not need to send things backwards and forwards over seas, which in turn heightens our efficiency.
We know when and by whom the product was made and that no one was exploited or ignored by our code of ethics.
It creates jobs in our local community, which in turn boosts the regional economy. We also aim to employ people from closed factories, who have the skills required for garment production but are not currently able to put them to use.
We have direct contact with our clients resulting in a very personal approach. To quote Faith No More, ‘We Care Alot’…
We make clothes responsibly; we know our co-workers very well, we know where the product has come from and we know we did our very best.
As we work together through each process, ideas flow creating a more innovative work environment. It’s a lot of fun and we wouldn’t have it any other way. This is our creative outlet, we are not doing this solely for the sake of profit.
WE WRITE OUR RULES
WE QUESTION ARCHAIC RULES WHICH
DO NOT SERVE OUR ADVANCEMENT
Just because everyone else does something, doesn’t mean we should too. And just because it works for them, doesn’t mean it’s going to work for us. So we write our own rules. Until they stop working then we re-write them. Again.
It is ‘our firm belief never to hold a firm belief’ because closely defined systems of any kind invariably become obstacles to advancement.
We can’t grow, evolve and be our best if we face change with a dogmatic inflexibility. Instead we look change in the face and dance with it.
WE WORK WITH THE WELFARE
OF OTHERS IN MIND
WE ARE ONE
We use our strengths in service to something bigger than ourselves; something with meaning, something that will make a difference.
We act upon that gut feeling that we were born to do something greater than ourselves.
We see our garments as in investment for the client; made to last.
WE ENCOURAGE A
OUR WAY OF LIFE
We believe that ‘fitness lays the foundation on which a higher living can be built,’ so we take a holistic approach to well-being and productivity.
Healthier people perform at a higher level, have greater mental clarity, greater energy levels, better quality of sleep, minimised risk of dis-ease…so who wouldn’t want to be healthy. Self-responsibility is a virtue we aim to live by.
Our particular chosen way of life also lessens our carbon footprint.
WE CARE A LOT
The Wreckreation studio is based in an eco-friendly building with it’s own wind turbine, rainwater recycling system, solar panels etc…
We source our fabrics from British mills. When this is not possible, we use European mills.
We have very little waste as we either recycle and re-use our fabrics or donate it to local schools and colleges.
If the need arises, we fix and repair items of clothing as no one wants to discard their favourite jeans.
We work with local businesses and feel that a strong community makes for a resilient network.
